What you should know whilst listing your domain with Brandbucket

A recent thread on namepros stated that BrandBucket Drives $2.4 Million in Brandable Domain Name Sales in 2015.

Don’t get too excited, without doing any maths to work out how much profit brandbucket gained or the sellers, let us be more realistic.  First you must know that  any marketplaces on the web that allows sellers to list their product  for sale is simply classified as a two-way beneficial system where there is always bound to be someone with more power between the two, without user inventory there is no BrandBucket, or you can call it MichaelBucket as one smart namepro user mentioned in the thread. Let me know in the comments if you think brandbucket.com should be changed to michaelbucket.com

In life I have learnt that sometimes it’s important that we learn to do some certain things ourselves to gain best results. Has anyone ever stepped back to find out what exactly is the driving force of brandbucket? The answer is YOU ARE! Yes, very trivial from an analytical point of view.

What most brandbucket users don’t realise is that their domains listed and redirected or Name server changed to brandbucket is responsible for over 40% of brandbucket traffic and ranking boosting in search engines. How do I know this? My friend with right tools and SEO knowledge you can discover anything.

Also some domains submitted has lots of SEO juices inherited but now is been transferred over to brandbucket when you redirect them. So brandbucket users hand registered a domain name or bought domain from a domain name aftermarket and redirects it to brandbucket and even pay brandbucket fees to have their domain listed on their site and another fee to get a log designed.

You can see that you are doing a lot to help the marketplace grow but the main concern is if they are selling any domains for you? If your answer is no, I can feel your pains.

So, every brandbucket watchers don’t be surprise when they double their income again this year whilst none  of your domain listed sold.  Brandbucket still benefits from you if they sale your domains or not. Not surprise why they want your domains to stay on their platform 30 or more days when you inform them you want to leave.

What could a competing brandable domain marketplace do to gain a positive traction?

If any brandable domain name marketplace can stand up and offer to pay each user $10 – $100 EACH MONTH depending on the size of the individual user’s inventory, then that particular brandable domain market place has a better chance of expanding even more and see a nice growth.  As every user(brandable domain sellers) will be happy because they will still be getting paid regardless if domain name sale or not the brandable domain marketplace in question will still benefit too.

I think this is the way it should be don’t you?  However, there is certain measures that must be taken which I don’t necessarily have to share in this post.
